History of EAM Corporation
EAM (Engineered Absorbent Materials) Corporation was originally founded in 1998 as a manufacturing and advanced research subsidiary of Rayonier, one of the world's leading forest products companies. That same year EAM trademarked and began marketing NovaThin, an advanced absorbent core with superior density, absorbency and manufacturing waste control properties. NovaThin cores have since made their way into a wide range of consumer and industrial products around the world.
EAM's primary manufacturing and research facility, located in Jesup, GA, was built in late 2001 to consolidate and further capitalize on NovaThin development using state-of-the-art equipment and systems.
EAM Corporation was purchased in 2005 by Kinderhook Industries, LLC, a New York-based private equity firm.
